Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Merkra LLC ("Merkra," "we," "us," or "our"), we stand behind the quality of our work. This policy outlines the terms for refunds and cancellations across our services and products.
1. Custom Development Projects
Deposits
- Before Work Begins: If Merkra has not commenced work on your project, your deposit is fully refundable.
- After Work Begins: Once development work has started, deposits are non-refundable. The deposit compensates for time, resources, and opportunity costs allocated to your project.
In-Progress Projects
If you choose to cancel a project that is already in progress, a refund may be issued on a prorated basis. The refund amount will be calculated based on:
- The percentage of work completed at the time of cancellation
- Documented hours and deliverables produced
- Any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf
We will provide a written breakdown of completed work and the corresponding refund calculation within ten (10) business days of receiving your cancellation request.
Completed Projects
Final deliverables are non-refundable after client acceptance. "Acceptance" occurs when the client confirms in writing that the deliverables meet the agreed-upon specifications, or after ten (10) business days following delivery if no objections are raised.
2. Monthly Retainers
- Cancellation: You may cancel your retainer at any time by providing thirty (30) days' written notice to [email protected].
- Current Billing Period: No refund is issued for the current billing period in which the cancellation notice is received. Your services will continue through the end of that billing period.
- Unused Hours: Unused hours within a billing period do not roll over to subsequent periods and are not eligible for refund.
- Pre-Paid Retainers: If you have pre-paid for multiple months, unused full months will be refunded upon cancellation.
3. WordPress Plugin Licenses
- 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: We offer a full refund within fourteen (14) days of your original purchase date. No questions asked.
- License Deactivation: Upon processing a refund, your plugin license will be deactivated and you must remove the plugin from all sites.
- After 14 Days: No partial refunds are available after the 14-day guarantee period. Your license will remain active through the end of your subscription term.
- Renewal Refunds: If your license auto-renews and you did not intend to renew, contact us within fourteen (14) days of the renewal charge for a full refund of the renewal.
4. How to Request a Refund

- Your name and company name
- Order number, invoice number, or project reference
- Reason for the refund request
- Any relevant supporting details
We will acknowledge your request within two (2) business days and aim to resolve it promptly.
Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed within five to ten (5-10) business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Depending on your bank or credit card provider, it may take an additional billing cycle for the refund to appear on your statement.
5. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us directly at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. Chargebacks incur additional fees and administrative costs that can be avoided through direct communication.
We are committed to resolving disputes quickly and fairly. In most cases, contacting us directly results in a faster resolution than the chargeback process.
6. Exceptions
Merkra reserves the right to deny a refund request in cases of:
- Fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Violation of our Terms of Service
- Requests made outside the applicable refund window
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website with a revised effective date. Refund requests are governed by the policy in effect at the time of the original purchase or engagement.
